To provide your child with the best learning experience and environment for physical fitness, finding activities your child will enjoy, and nutritional facts in hopes they will carry this knowledge out into the world after high school to continue a healthy active lifestyle.
GOAL: TO IMPROVE PHYSICAL FITNESS
EXPECTATIONS: EVERY STUDENT BE PREPARED AND PARTICIPATE EVERY DAY.
Listed below are several rules and regulations that might make this year easier for all concerned. PLEASE READ, SIGN, AND PLACE IN YOUR CHILD’S NOTEBOOK.
DRESSING OUT REQUIREMENTS
Blue or gray t-shirt from home
school dress code length Gym shorts/sweats with elastic waistband, drawstring
Athletic socks
Tennis shoes with good arch support
Combination lock to secure valuables
DRESSING OUT NO NO’S
Colored shirts other than blue or gray
Blue jean sorts, cut-off shorts or shorts with belt loops and zippers
No hiking shoes/boots, buddies or any shoe that will leave black marks on the floor
Leaving belongings in dressing room unlocked or unattended
No spandex/yoga pants, rolling up of shorts or sagging
GYM GRADING
Grading will be based on daily dressing out and participation per week. 20 points per week (2 pts for Dressing out and 2 pts for Participation per day )
Run tests on Wednesday of every week
Physical fitness tests on Thursday of every week
Points will be deducted if absent. See teacher for make up work.
MEDICAL NOTES
Medical notes for non-participation will be assessed by the PE Department. Each student will be evaluated on an individual basis. Assignments will be given based on the medical limitations set by the doctor.

CONSEQUENCES FOR BREAKING RULES
1ST time: Counsel/Warning-Documentation/walking the wall
2ND time: Counsel/Warning-Documentation/walking the wall and Notice Sent Home to
Parents-returned with parent signature next day (PARENT CONTACT IF NOTICE IS NOT RETURNED)
3RD time: Discipline Referral turned in to Assistant Principal
